Yesterday was our four month check up. We LOVE doctor's appointments because we are always so anxious to see how much he has developed. Everything looked great! Crew grew another two inches! He is literally growing like a weed! Since he was born he has grown over six inches. That is a lot in only four months! He is currently 26 1/2 inches long. The doctor did a formula to calculate his height when he is older. The doctor said that Crew is going to be a good 6'1'' or 6'2'', if not taller. You know what that means...a basketball player...yay!!! He weighed 14 lbs 6 oz. All of his other measurements were great! Crew would not stop talking to the doctor. If the doctor would ask a question, Crew would talk back right away. It was so funny! The most exciting news at the visit was that we get to start Crew on solid foods! The doctor wants us to start cereal and baby food right away. He said Crew needs all those calories to keep up with his height~I don't think I have ever been told this in my life?!?! ;) We already snuck him a few bananas at Aunt Amber's house last weekend, so I am anxious to continue it!
Crew is continuously babbling, laughing, smiling, etc. He rolls over a lot too. We constantly find him flipped on his back in his crib. We are practicing his standing a lot too. He continues to love bath time. He splashes all the time!
Crew has adjusted very well to daycare. His sitter is wonderful, as are all the children that go there. Last week the children made a craft. In order to not leave Crew out, they made him one too. You will see in the picture it is a door hanger with his name on it. It was so adorable! Alicia (the sitter) also told me everyone was so anxious to feed Crew, that she made a sign up list for helping with bottles. They also did tummy time where everyone got to sit around Crew while he played on a blanket. He is so happy there! His new thing is now that we are getting on a schedule, he wakes up on his own at 6:40a.m. I walk into his room and say, "What are you doing awake? You are supposed to be sleeping!" He screams and laughs so loud! He wants you to keep saying it over and over. He gets so excited! It is adorable!!! This week they made a egg crate school bus with the kid's pictures. Alicia is so creative! Today we took cupcakes for all the kids! :) They wanted to eat them as soon as we brought them in!

Back to work and volleyball has kept our family very busy! Matt and Crew have been attending my games, along with the rest of the family! Everybody loves seeing Crew there! My students ask about him constantly. Of course I have pictures everywhere though, to remind me of him!
We are looking forward to a relaxing Labor Day weekend soon (I already need a day off!). We will be enjoying it with family! Have a great holiday!
