We are busy preparing for the holidays around our house! To begin, we had a great Thanksgiving! We had Matt's family over for dinner and then I went to my parents house for our annual Black Friday shopping extravaganza. My mom joined my dad and I this year. We got some great items, including a huge basketball hoop, electric scooter, and a new bike. Between Grandma and Grandpa and Santa, Crew is getting a lot!
Last weekend we went to the Santa Parade in downtown LaPorte. We have never been and were just sitting around after basketball practice and decided to go. Crew had a great time! He loved seeing Santa, Elmo, and other fun characters. Grandma Schnick came with us and we all went to lunch afterwards.
Speaking of basketball, Crew joined the local YMCA's Little Dribblers basketball team. It is such a hoot to go watch all the three year olds! Such a fun time!
Our elf, Chippey, has returned! He made his debut after Thanksgiving and has been flying somewhere new every morning! Matt and I LOVE LOVE LOVE having Crew come into our room screaming about how he found the elf each morning! It is a riot!
We also went and chopped down our first tree this year. Both sets of grandparents went with to pick one out. It was SUCH a fun time!!! We absolutely loved it. We rode a tractor out to find one, had cider and popcorn, visited Santa and more. Matt wanted to cut one down just for the memories and we've already created some awesome ones just from our first experience. We thought we had the perfect tree, but came home to find out it was a little large. It all worked out though after the hubby did some trimming. Again, it adds to the memory of our first real tree experience ;)
